How can I identify a 3.9 cam ?

Bought a new 3.9 cam last year (private sale) from a guy who stopped work on his Landrover project.
I am on the way to complete now everything togehter with overhauled heads etc.
I can see no real sign or anything else on the cam, beside a small "LR" (it has a number on one end, I must look for it), so how can I be sure to have a 3.9 cam and not a 3.5 cam ? Have measured the lobes with 40 mm on it (38,6 - 38,8 mm on my old original 3.5 cam), but I think, this will not be the right way.

I believe the Land Rover part numbers are ERR5924 for the 3.9 cam and ERC2003 & ETC6850 for the 3.5 cams.

Bolts on both cams (old / new) are imperial. Parts number I did not find on the cam. But, the lobes have more "volume", whereas the sides of the old cam are more straight. Lobe height, what I wrote, was not correct. It´s 34 mm, whereas the old cam is between 33,6 and 33,8 mm.
Anyway, it´s in the engine now. It´s spring, and I´m far behind o_O
