how does switch work??

Hi,

I am looking at the pressurefailure warning switch. I can not figure out how it works!
can someone please explain how this works?

this is a detail of the switch:

as you can see both "males" or "poles" are connected with a little bridge at the bottom.
If the switch is activated the pin at the end is moved inward. But what does it connect? and to what?

Well I did some testing and the results:

when i activate the swith by pressing it in: tada!!!!!!

So what I think is that as the cone in the warningswitchhousing moves, it "earthes" (connect the wires, connected to the switch, to ground) and then current is free to flow and the lights go on!
