I shouldn't laugh, but...

Its got that famous Kiwi optional bonnet dam - makes you go fast like lowered door handles

I thought it was the black-painted wheel trims that gave it all the extra performance. It is immaculate though, owner says so.

I think that "rex215" should be looking at other sorts of cars.

With a few misgivings - its still a good buy .
Someone has probably got the P6 [ cam belt -ahem ] mixed up with horror stories from the recent Rover 75 cam belt.
These girls are over 40 now and all those past owners like to add a personal touch to their cars , but in some eyes this looks sacrilege .
Ive had experiences with mechanics reaching for the best solution for them not my car and the end result is awful . Thats why Ive found this forum so helpful in keeping my old friend in the best order for a DIY like me .
When I bought mine in '72 during the hippy era , I had flower power decals stuck all over it , like John Lennon's Rolls Royce . Thank god they were decals , as I changed my mind 10yrs later and liked the plain look . If you can call Almond plain .
I'm rambling again
Gerald

You may be right: but if poor old Rex can't tell the difference between a 75 and a P6 then he needs some help purchasing his next car and must not be left to do it by himself. I think the poor old 75 suffers more from mechanics than from any inherent faults. The cambelts are no worse to do than any other comparable vehicle, and no more expensive.
