Is a clear Triplex Zebrazone Toughened windscreen laminated? If yes what would be a fair price for a good used one?

Thanks for the info. Fellow over here was looking for a laminated screen, never mind, I can't help him out then.

Here's what a Zebrazone screen does when it breaks:

Makes you appreciate laminated screens just a bit...

You can even have a laminated screen made new for not too crazy a price if you can't find one.

That picture illustrates how a Zebrazone screen was supposed to work. It was tempered in a way to leave some strips of unbroken glass for visibility. Of course a laminated screen will tend to shatter in a way far more localized to the actual impact and is far more likely to hold together.

It has a really disconcerting effect on vision - all those fracture lines seem to act as refracting planes and your image of the road sort of tilts - then your vision adjusts and visibility is entirely adequate to drive for a short distance.
General advice when toughened screen were common here was to punch a hole in it to restore vision.
Very bad idea - filled the car, your mouth and nastiest of all, potentially your eyes, with small shards of glass. Sort of thing you only do once!

I had a toughened windscreen shatter twice in my Austin. One of them was while i was overtaking a lorry. Short term visibilty in order to complete the maneuvre was to stick the head out of the side window by instict. Well, it was summer and the window was open anyway. As soon as i parked safely at the hard shoulder, my next move was to completely remove the broken glass. There was no way i would complete the journey with the shattered screen in place.
Screenless driving was interesting, obviously drove relatively slowly and kept as much distance as i could from vehicles in front of me. As both me and front seat passenger at the time were wearing glasses, it didn't felt too bad.
