Respray complete, Side strips installed. I still have a few badges left to reinstall. Pics on trailer where how the car was the day I bought it August 7 2008.
I was hoping for a 5 year timeline and missed the deadline by a month!!

Nice one. Arden Green does look great when it's shiny.

How does it drive, are there any niggles to iron out?

Runs very well. I will be doing a full suspension rebuild next year. I have most of the parts now, just waiting for the rear poly bushes. I may source rubber trailing arm bushes as I am not liking what I'm hearing about metal stress with poly bushes at this joint.

Absolutely stunning! Arden Green is a brilliant colour, and, I reckon you've restored your car to an amazing standard! I look forward to reading more about your use of the car!

:D It is great to see your car looking so good after all this time. Didn't you consider changing the colour at one time? Glad you stuck with the original Arden Green. Can you drive the car pending the suspension work?

8) Definitely looking good.

Chris, This car was bought in left hand drive configuration in London UK and driven in the U.K. and Europe for about 6 months before being brought over to Canada by the previous owners parents. The Car was driven until about 1979 and parked for 5 years. The previous owner bought the car from his parents then got the car running and started to collect parts and panels. He drove it until 1986, when he had the heads removed for reconditioning and conversion for unleaded fuel and never put the engine back together. Over the last 5 years the engine was rebuilt and bored out to 2200 cc to run better on modern fuel, brake system rebuilt, all panels off, the base unit was scraped of all undercoating, surface rust repair done, welding done to sills, base unit repainted, undercoating renewed, gearbox seals replaced....many many more small jobs done. I think I have touched 98% of the car. I have started recoloring interior trim with SEM vinyl dye with incredible results. My door cards look brand new!

Yes JVY, I was torn between the original Arden Green, or the Zircon Blue colour of my Dads 1969 2000 TC. I am also glad I stayed with the original color. The original suspension is in good shape, I just know it can be better! I do have a weak front right spring so left rear side drops a bit.

Looks a fabulous result cdn :)

I imagine P6 Rovers are pretty thin on the ground in Canada :? Do you see any others about? I expect you receive lots of comments especially when visiting petrol stations.

Ron.

Beautiful. That really does make me a wee bit jealous ;)

I think tired rubber is better than polybushes. I'll send you a pm.

Ron, no, not very many that I know of in Canada. I often hear comments such as "nice car", "cool car" but few know the make and model. Truly an under appreciated car on this side of the pond.
