length pushrod

hi everyone just to be on the save side having problems with the brakes blocking after putting a new master cylinder and a new brake booster we would like to now if the pushrod is the right one for a rover p6 3500 auto LHD. i have a length of 21 cm or 8,26772 inch.
kind regards Marc.

If you have some free play before the pushrod contacts the master piston, AND the pedal height is correct - 6.5" from the floor (NOT the carpet!) it should be correct. Cant find a length in the manual.

The pushrod is threaded to be adjustable for pedal height. I think the problem lies elsewhere, i.e. the servo, the air valve in particular. Search on here for explanations and cure.

If the problem is only evident with engine running the booster air valve is likely cause. While brakes are locked on try pulling the vacuum hose from the booster and see if that releases the brakes. Dont forget that the booster will hold enough vacuum for several brake applications after engine off, so drain that with several brake pushes.
