Looking for a front drivers side wing (O/S/F)

Hello everyone,

I joined the forum last night (first time I've ever joined a forum) - which is apparently quite odd for a chap in their mid twenties..

Anyhow, I am looking for a drivers side front wing for my Rover 3500 (P6, 1974 series 2 auto with a gold-seal Leyland engine.)

The old madam has been the victim of an atrocious park job by an unknown buffoon, and after being quoted £700 to have the wing reformed, filled and painted, I decided it would be much better to have it replaced.

Only problem is that no one seems to have any, I tried all the major websites that sell P6 parts, and got the same story from all of them.

I also bought a wing of the flea bay, looked ok in the photos, what I got looked like it had been removed from the car using a tin opener (never mind unbolting the rear section) - looks like they just pried it off, then placed it in front of the car, and ran it over..

I'm hopeful that someone on here might be able to help, the P6 is my first and only car (as I can't find any other cars that are as good for some reason.)

Thanks, and I look forward to your replies

Wow that was fast!

Sounds great :D - do you mind if I ask where abouts you are?

I'm in West Hampstead (London NW6) - I might be able to come and collect it this weekend if you are okay with that.

I'm already spending most of my weekend driving around anyway..

Thanks for the quick reply

and Welcome

Graeme

Thanks ghce - your P6 looks in great condition, didn't realise any of them had the aerial mounted on the wing, I thought they all had it on the roof..

BTW: You be careful with that ZF-4HP22! My brothers BMW 635 CSI had its one blow up, apparently if you leave them in neutral, they slowly creep into drive, effectively grinding the friction material in the front clutch pack into dust.. Otherwise, they are good boxes.. Suffice to say he is having a manual getrag fitted

Looks like the courier option is going to have to be the way to go, if you could send me a price for delivery to West Hampstead NW6 2EE, I can pay you via PayPal - I will PM you the full address..

Cheers :)
