Hi Falkirk yea does look good but have to be careful it doesn't cost sale price to get It right
I suppose just check arches sills floor

personally my first thought is to ask for the Registration Document and check that against the chassis number and engine number, for me, that is STEP 1
I was going to buy a P6 from a guy up in Scotland about 10 years ago, I told various people I was going up to Scotland to look it over and 2 of my best buddies eagerly waiting for the mission day to come with me!! it was a jaunt as well kind of anyway, was just about to get that rolling when I said to the seller "Do you have the registration document" to my shock he said "No I dont have that" I was totally gobsmacked and cancelled the viewing, had to tell my two buddies "ITS OFF" .... true story

so what do you reckon on the roof Rich? the car looks pretty good from the photos and the wheel trims are stunning

Yes you can check where the carpet is. The sills on the outside are covered by a secondary metal outer plate you can’t see behind this unless you remove all the screws. The rear seats are in three parts if you remove the rear seat by the rear door the part of the seat that you put your bum on remove the lower part of the seat on both sides and look down close to the sill there is a square whole you might have to pull back the under seat insulation check in that whole for tin worm that is if the owner lets you pull his car apart if he doesn’t then I would walk away, best option is to arrange a viewing in daylight maybe contacting a local garage and see if you can use there ramp for a few pennies might be worth it even if you don’t buy the car then you have only lost the cost of the ramp and not hours of welding.

Guys had a look not bad bit concerned there's a rust patch near the back middle of the car under seal is broken aswell
It's about 1 foot in from the rear arch
But under the back seats car is ok
What do you think how costly of a fix is this
Thx for your help

When you say back middle do you mean under the seat or under the car?
the rust you see?
very hard to advise you without seeing the rust, I would be very concerned with water in or under carpets,
the insulation under the carpets can hide a multitude of sins so have a good poke about, did the owner say why the carpet was wet? This could be coming from the dreaded heater box that could be just a pile of rust underneath allowing the ingress of water going into the front footwells
and could travel backwards.

The front footwells even look good just all the carpets and felt is wet especially passenger side
Hi it could be surface rust underneath
or not poke it with a screwdriver lol :p
If it goes through you know it’s a rotten one, is it kept outside might just be damp?
