Missing on two cylinders

Hello there my 75 v8 is not firing on ns front and rear cylinders. Does anyone have any ideas why two pots can go down. Thanks Stephen.

That's cylinders 1 & 7 and they are fed by the same carb, but if that were the cause then cyls 4 & 6 should also be affected. 1 & 7 aren't next to each other in the firing order, so they're unlikely to track across the cap. I would start by interchanging plugs and leads from "good" cylinders to the misfiring ones to see if the misfire moves.

If the car is a Rover 75 V8 then it's packing a Ford Mustang V8 and doesn't have carbs, but fuel injection. You might be best off asking on Ford Mustang forums.

Sorry I can't help with your engine problems.

Proof you really are only a mere mortal Harvey! I had started to think you're at least a demigod!
I quite fancy a 75 V8, with the manual box out of the MG ZT. Bet they're pretty rapid when all the cyliunders are firing properly!

I've just checked the OP's postings, and he owns a 1975 P6B V8..........

Demigod status resumed....

8236 posts on here, your demigod status is assured. Forgive my insolence.

Does it never fire on those cylinders or only stop firing on them at very low revs/tickover?. If they don't fire at all its most likely electrical so try harveys suggestion of swapping leads and plugs etc. If it only happens at low revs its possible that they are running very weak (carb) or low on compressions.
