Moin from Germany!

Hi everybody,

about time I introduced myself. Well, I suppose nobody cares all too much about me. So here's a few of the Rover instead. :D

Ah well ... would've loved to show some more, but I must admit that - despite the fact that I have a strong IT background - I've lost against the forum-software. After I had to find out that Dropbox seems not to be working I created a Photobucket account, but (... quite some hair lost ..), errrr, no. Some pics work fine, others won't show up (unless you take "IMG" as a valid picture). So I guess you'll have to do with just one for the time being.

Anyway, glad to have found the forum, hope you don't mind someone from terra firma!

Laters!

Cheers,
Olaf

Loving that colour. Welcome to the forum. I have found small (680 wide) pictures tend to work best and just put them directly onto the post I'm writing.
Peter

Great looking car.
Your battle with photobucket is typical and not your fault, I hate using it, every time I try to go there it has got worse.

Yes, l used it last night for my post. I've found you have to work quickly to beat the adverts & make judicious use of the stop loading button as soon as you can. It makes it bearable.

Wow. Am I getting the idea that old Rovers are getting quite cool in Germany? I suppose if you want an old saloon it makes a change from a Mercedes.

Thanks everybody!

RE the Rovers in Germany: not sure about a general development but there is quite a few if you look for them. Also it's not that I dislike the German cars, but I just love the British ones! :D

I'm not only fighting Photobucket - the forum software seems to very much dislike Firefox (my default browser) when it comes to pictures: I'll only see the IMG-tag there whereas, with Chrome, it's just fine.
FWIW, it might also be the size of the pictures. If I resize them down to a seemingly more manageable size (like the <700px that Peter mentioned), it seems to work best by just dragging them into the post.
The pic below I inserted by opening the original pic, then making a screenshot with SnagIt, resizing that to 50%, copying the whole thing into the clipboard (Ctrl-A and Ctrl C), then simply pasting it here via Ctrl-V.

Cheers,
Olaf

P.S.: It's a Mulberry interior, doesn't really work well in the picture.

Hallo Olaf. Sweet P5B Coupé. Great colour combination. Looks like a well cared-for car. Welcome to this forum!

That interior is incredible. Not that there's anything at all wrong with an old Mercedes. I'd take a 300SEL (V8) in a heartbeat.

It's just that there are so many around still.

Absolutely beautiful car, my favorite model which are really scarce in the states. It's on my shopping list next trip to the UK. My list would probably be shorter if I listed the cars I don't want.

I know that feeling GBgary! My P6 has to fulfil all vehicular roles as I can only afford the one car! My wish list is loooooooooooong! Sorry to go off topic Olaf!
