Moving Home......

Hi all, some of you know that I'm moving home.
Just got the moving date confirmed today 100% after two let downs, so as of the 29th of November I will be on the east coast Suffolk, So my question is how many forum members would there be with in the area that would be interested in possibly meeting on a monthly or bi monthly basis or is there a Rover meet already arranged. ...
Thanks for any replys guys n girls

Think I will not be able to do with out a rover meet fix.....almost coming out in a cold sweat thinking about it.... HELP!!

I'm interested, but in spite of attending a lot of shows in the area I've never seen many P6s. It might help if you are a bit more specific as to where you are going to be, the East coast of Suffolk stretches all the way from Felixstowe to North of Lowestoft. Good luck with the move, this is a lovely place in which to live.

Congrats Guy :D . Can't wait to get the same call myself to move home, after over 4 years commuting from Cork to both Dublin and London it does get tiring. Best of luck with the move!
Regards,
Dave

Hi Pete, Lowestoft is my new abode...

I've signed up to the Norwich vintage and classic car forum and east cost retros on fb. There seems to be a good following for classics etc in the area and I've noticed. a couple of the members have p6's or p5's

I'm about 28 miles South of you, Norwich is a bit outside my community of interest, I've spotted a few familiar cars on their website though. There is plenty going on round these parts in the show season.

I'm a big fan of East Anglia, Suffolk in particular. Good luck with your move.

We're visiting Norwich next (long) weekend, one of my favourite cities. A fine mix of old & new architecture, good shopping, great pubs & a fantastic vibe about the place.

Good Luck with the move Guy, I'm sure you'll find like minded people when you start driving about abit. I remember when we were looking for somewhere to re locate before we found where we live now. An early question to the first estate agent in the area was "Is there a local classic car club?"

John.

A full week of panic and throwing things in boxes to go! Good Luck! Are all the boys moving too? And the Moggy?

Chris

Good luck with the house move.

My in-laws live near Bungay so we get down to Suffolk a few times a year.

Dave

Thanks everyone for your kind words. Chris the moggy and son will be following up in 4-5 months time possibly. Dave next time your in Suffolk pm me we could meet up if you have time. Stina I hope to take lots of pics, may be give frazzle some competition for David Bailey of the forum,,,, Pete once I've settled in maybe we can meet somewhere in the middle and you can enlighten me on living in Suffolk  Mick really wanted to get to NEC as you had your car there, but with everything going on I couldn't fit it in financially this time. Keeping fingers crossed for Beamish must do the next one. :)
Less than a week to go....

Hope your new house has a nice big garage so you can work on your cars throughout the winter

Yes it does have a garage Dave not as big as I would have liked but it is better than none and there is plenty room to open the doors on the p6  was my only criteria think the wife had at least ten.

Sounds good, meanwhile if you have trouble understanding the natives (I still do and I've lived here for 33 years) I recommend the book "Sloightly on th' huh" by Charlie Haylock. Translation of title - "Not quite perpendicular." Hope it all goes well. I've accumulated so much junk in my time here I could never contemplate moving.

Hope your move went ok today. Don't envy you the next few months though, emptying all them boxes. Hope you all settle in quickly and like where you are.
