Hi all. :)

Sorry not Rover P6 or classic car related but thought you all ought to know.

As many of you will know I quit working full time in Oct 2012 to semi-retire and play with my classic cars.
And 1 yr later was diagnosed and then had an operation for bowel cancer over xmas 2013,and also had a colostomy, followed up by 3-4 months of chemo.
All has been relatively well since then, apart from a bit of lethargy which is expected.
Being checked out with a CT every 3 months with nothing much happening, until my last 3 monthly CT check up,where some nasty stuff has appeared in/on the area know as the peritoneum.
The small nodules present in my lungs have also increased slightly since 2013.
Therefore around the start of Oct, I will be undergoing a 3 month course of more chemo.
Hopefully xx fingers,I will respond well to this and a further 3 months will be scheduled.
Once all this is over,I will be taking a trip to stay with my mother in NZ for a bit of r/r.
Then if all is still well on my return,Casper and I are going to buy a big yank RV and take a trip round the coast of the UK,and will no doubt visit lots of classic car shows.

You may of seen my post having a MASSIVE parts clear-out with 50% to Macmillan cancer.
EVERYTHING TR6 or P6 related is going except my daily driver P6V8 and a few essential spare parts.
Also the TR6 and Nada will be sold.
Priorities in life change when things like this happen, and I have had the last 18 months to get my head round it,and think about what to do.
So as of now I am not going to take on any more refurb or resto projects,I am going to stop my part time job as I will be in no condition to work for a good while, then relax, unwind,do a bit of travelling with my pussy "Except to NZ" as he doesn't like flying.

Cheers Dave

Really sorry to hear that. Really glad you seem to have some plans though. if i can help let me know....

You sure have been having your share of medical malaise Pilkie. Probably not the right terminology in your case as you certainly have been getting on despite the cancer .
All the best for your future and hope outcomes will be comfortable for you .
When you get that ticket to NZ there will be a few P6 guys waiting for your arrival to escort you on this part of your journey.
All the best
Love to you ,Gerald

fingers crossed for you mate. If you're popping past York or into Whitby on your coastal tour please give me a shout.

I met you on Sunday briefly but I did n't want to intrude, I wish you well with your treatment and hope you will make a good recovery. Being positive and having a goals for the future help. Best wishes
Glen

Thanks all.
Been wiped out by the nasty bug that has been going about for the last week,so done next to nothing productive.
Feeling better today,so hopefully will start eating properly again and getting some excercise I hope.
