NADA 3500 air filter cannister

Hello

I received my new vacuum actuator but then I just realized that the vacuum switch upstream of it is AWOL. Even though I can't quite get my head round the opening / closing methodology versus the switch position / temperature, I wonder if anyone knows the switch temperature or any intel on it so I can replace it?

PS. I just rebuilt my AED instead of chucking it out and installing a manual choke, so that gives you an idea of my mental deficiencies so it's not worth questioning the pointlessness of putting this switch in. In Southern California.

If I remember correctly the plastic housings on UK made bimetallic switches were colour coded by application. Possibly the same colour would operate at the same temperature.

From memory the switch should be set to open at 80 degrees F Which is just below the water thermostat. personally I'd be setting it at 70F or a bit less to keep the air density high. Be careful last time i searched for the air thermostat i came up blank...closest i came were the dudes with the vacuum units, but they were out of stock and unable to get them. Best they could provide was a picture.... If you are in the US or near a pontiac wrecker they use the same switch for the same task as did some 2200 TCs
