Hi everybody, my name is Eise and I'm from The Netherlands.

I have driven a 1964 Volvo Amazon as a daily driver for 7 years, but I started to long for something with a bit more comfort and a bit more power  . Then this 1972 Rover 3500S came up for sale, it has been modified and has a SD1 vitesse engine (fuel injected) and gearbox (5-speed). As I intend to use it as a daily driver there will plenty of times this forum will be of good use to me.

The old loyal Volvo that has seen me through many winters.

And ofcourse:

The green beast!

Which I hope will serve me well for years to come!

Congratulations with a very nice P6. Expect a bit more work with the maintenance than on the Amazon. I used to have a 544 and that was really easy to work on. But the nice engineering solutions on the Rover makes the exra effort worthwhile.
Regards, Barten

Welcome along! Looks like you've got yourself a good one. What are those wheels? Who did the LT77 conversion? Was it done by Smink, or Jan Waanders, do you know?

The wheels are SD1 alloy wheels, they came with the car when I bought it but I'm not sure whether to keep them or replace them.

As far as the modifications go, no clue who did them. I asked the seller, but he couldn't tell me either.

My Good Friend,
You have joined an excellent forum.
The members are very friendly and helpful.
I too have just bought a P6 and I'm busy getting it going.
Have much fun and do it anyway.
Welcome.
Max.

Hey Eise,
Welcome. You'll find this a friendly forum and the amount of knowledge here is awesome!

Did you have your Rover checked by Jan Waanders by any chance?

I'm in Amsterdam, if you need a good garage there I can recommend Minor Motorcars wholeheartedly.

Best regards,

Bas
