Looks like a lovely car. The Series ones are definitely coming into their own these days. I'd go so far as to say they're becoming the most desirable models & not only as they're thinner on the ground than the S2's. The original conception & build quality show through.

It's going to get more pronounced as the number of available S2 3500S's will not get much higher.

Joe Public tends to always want a 'Mint 3500S' first, then, on finding that such a thing is hard and expensive to find, go after an S1 V8 for the looks and power.

lovely car. like mine only better in every way. Odd that the v8 bonnet badge is in totally the wrong place when everything else seems so perfectly original.

I'd choose a s1 v8 with ZF 4 speed auto as my ultimate P6. You can keep the 3500S - at least with the original gearbox.

Two years ago I put my P5B into one of my lock-up's while we went for a quick honeymoon in Norwich (I know how to treat a girl  ). I didn't think she'd be in there long, the Rover that is, but I've not got her out since. I'd only recently put a new set of tyres on & despite having a set of those movable platforms in the photos here, didn't put the car on them.
I'm hoping the tyres haven't developed flat spots in that time. It's been more working on the house than the cars for the recent past.

...and mine :D

The rear boot R O V E R lettering, 3500 & V8 badges look to be early V8 style. It may have had another boot lid in the past. I think that format makes the car even better!

Beautiful car, I really like the series one.
It is the only one I would consider instead of my 1964 car.

I actually hated my tobacco brown colour at first. Thing is when polished up, it screams the 1960s period and looks like nothing else on the road today.
