Hello Everyone,
Cherryroverp6 here,
It has been quite a long time since I have posted onto these forums as I had to let my previous project go due to the bulk head rot. I ended up stripping my 68 2000 to the base unit an saving everything I could. I have Since acquired a 1966 2000 Tc that had been off the road since circa 1980. In the state it was in I had my work cut out for me. Electrical connections were to be redone, Loose bolts, Missing trim, Rotten Dashboard Plastics cracked as well as splitting foam. The Car was full of Dryer sheets which appeared to have kept out the little critters. At some point the sills were redone from what I could tell tastefully. 47k Miles which Appear to be original. This car came with some good work history and actually physical photos of the car an its parts unit! So they were sold as a pair from a barn in Pennsylvania USA. As Excited I was I needed to sit back an Do everything I can correctly the first time. Instead of starting it and damaging anything. I checked all the hoses an fluids which turned into an engine out job cleaning the sludge in the pan, Replacing the clutch, Having the flywheel surfaced an a transmission known to be good with new throw out bearing and seals. In This process It needed side plates, All new gaskets so Away I went. This car had much work done to it before I acquired it but it sat for a long while never driven, About a week ago I have been able to test drive it. More in the future!
