Hi All,

Just seen the list of entrants for this years Norwich Union MSA Classic and noticed that there's a fair few P6's booked on this year. Last year the was only myself and I think one other.

It's a marvellous event starting in a few different cities with a guided route through some nice countryside with stop off's at various nice (usually closed to the public) places on the way and culminating in 2 laps of the Silverstone GP circuit.

So, I was wondering if any of you guys on this here forum were going?

Hi Paul, Sorry but I have been away and only just seen your post. Disappointing you have had no response until now, surely not all P6`s are tucked away for the winter yet !
In answer to your question, yes all being well my 3500S & I will be starting from Cheltenham, she did it 10 years ago in 1998 when it was under Guardian Insurance sponsorship/organisation, thoroughly enjoyed it then and glad to be doing it again. Three of us from the same village are taking part _ mine is the only P6 though.

Regards, Mike

Sorry Paul I misread your post, and mistakenly assumed you were taking part this year. My appologies.
There are only 9 P6 Rovers entered this year, which is better than last year nevertheless disappointing, considering the number of our favoured marque that are on the road. :(

It was a great weekend and the event on Sunday was marvellous. Did manage to bump into a few P6's, although not MJP6B, one of which was a convertible!

I especially enjoyed a couple of runs up the Prescott Hill Climb course. A chance to stretch it's legs and hear that V8 growl although I don't think an automatic is ideal for this kind of thing it was fun never the less.

To all those who didn't go (most of you) I'd thoroughly recommend entering next years event.

I agree 100% with you Paul. A very well organised event that is a pleasure to take part in. Going up Prescott Hillclimb was a highlight indeed, combined with the social and friendly atmosphere in the paddock. My personal adrenalin rush has to be 2 circuits of Silverstone Grand Prix circuit, with predictable P6 body roll and tyres protesting round the corners, but on the straights the "S" really picked up her skirts and overtook several sports cars of the era....brake fade  what brake fade !

A jem of a day made even better by kind weather. 900 cars in all assembled at the finish at Silverstone and to have only 9 Rover P6`s entered in a National Event could be improved upon next year I am sure.

You dont know what your missing unless you try it ! :D
