Oil pressure switch/transmitter

Can anybody tell me if it makes any difference by putting the oil transmitter where the oil switch should be and the switch where the oil transmitter should be, in other words swapping them round. The only reason for doing this is because they are easier to fit this way round.
 
No, it makes no difference, they both screw into the same gallery beneath. My Rover's original engine had them screwed in 'swapped' straight from the factory. I changed them around not long before the engine was removed in 2007, with zero difference.
