Old Pic Of Landie With P6 Turbine

Yup, what mighta been, who needs a V8 when you can have a Jet Fighter engine, the ultimate male pocket accessory lol

That's an odd-looking Landie rig.
At first sight a close coupled artic, with the high front of the load bed supporting this, but the single axle appears to be midmounted which might indicate an ordinary trailer.
Whichever, I bet it wasn't much fun on a windy motorway. ( Not that there were many motorways in 1961/2)

Hi, Considering the car transporter behind, I would think that's a fifth wheel trailer with an exhibition stand and car. So possibly an Earls Court motor show?

agree a bit like the old capri classic . as to question mark? maybe they knew it hung over the whole project so was apt!

love the door mirrors, mighty long arms , trailer must have been a lot wider than the landie, I think that 8 foot, (2.4 meters) is the max all over the world, it is here.
I remember that double Decker buses had white steering wheel, that denoted that they were the max width of 8 foot!

Land Rover did have some 88" LR's with 5th wheel couplings in the factory, may be one of those . The reg. is Herefordshire though. Dixon Bate did a special single axle trailer with a 5th wheel type coupling and the LR body could be re-attached when trailer not used. The shape of the body shown matches the Dixon bate one. Sorry for rubbish picture
