Is anyone aware of any official information from Rover about GVM of the different P6 models?
All I can find in owner’s manuals is curb weight. The only reference I can find is automobilecatalog.com which gives a range of results from 1628kg for the series 1 2000 automatic to 1800kg for later V8s but it isnt clear how they arrived at these figures.
Cheers,
Mark

My German market series 1 2000 TC is rated at 1700 Kg, 800 Kg at the front axle and 900 Kg at the rear.
This is from the information on the factory chassis number plate. Probably it was a local market requirement.

That is the total maximum weight. The kerb weight is listed in James Taylor's history as between 2,772 Lb ('63 2000sc) and 2,979 Lb (3500 and 3500s facelift). The factory service manual lists all the weights with various fitouts in the front few pages. A fully optioned vehicles will be quite a bit heavier than a standard vehicle.
Usually the town dump will have a weighbridge if you can't find one locally.

Thanks Mike,
I need to satisfy a certifying engineer. I’m told he is a bit of a stickler and only accepts info provided by the OEM. Fingers crossed he accepts the 2000tc plate from Demetris as close enough to the 2000 Auto.
