P6B anti sway bar - Availability?

I saw in an old issue of one of the classic car magazines a story about an anti sway bar for P6Bs manufactured by Yorkstar Racing. However, as far as I can discover, this company no longer exists.

Does anybody have any knowledge of P6B anti sway bars and their availability?

Dear Mal,
Is your intention to use this car on the road or on the track?
On the road the P6 (especially the V8) will handle like the proverbial Sh*t on a stick although they do roll a bit don't they? If you intend doing some track stuff then rolling is not an option and some experts will surely contact you with improvements.
Meanwhile, I can show you a really good time on my local "B" roads with a standard suspension set up (Rheens on either side!) but don't eat tea first!
Regards, John (Glinn)

Bet my V8 can beat yours round those country lanes John..... :)

Just give me a week to practice or you can come up to my private test track in Yorkshire.....the locals call it the North Yorks Moors!

Seroiusly though, Mal if you need to get in touch with a real racer I could probably get Pete Holton to talk to you, check out your back issues of P6 News....Pete's the guy who circuit races a series I V8 and keeps on winning his class!

BTW I think it was YORKSTON not yorkstar....there used to be a crack up race car built by these guys a few years back (wonder where that went????)

Peter,

Luckily the lanes are not wide enough for two P6s especially if slightly sideways at the time - Also water on one, or sometimes both, sides of the road - Certainly aids ones concentration !
besides, I have calmed down now - children and now grand children have seen to that, but I still enjoy driving enthusiastically.
I bought a two year old Audi A6 (no, I'm not rich this was a little luxery now that the kids have grown up!) as our everday use car - 2.4 litre (only) but a V6, 5 valves per cylinder, 4 overhead cams much faster than my Rover but 30+ mpg on petrol !
Regards, John.

O.K.Then John....

My BMW 5 series against your Audi.... 2.7 litre straight six

I know I'm a good driver....I'm endorsed by the Police!! ;)

Dear Peter,
Sorry for the delay in replying to this challenge!
Must have fallen to sleep in my Audi for a couple of weeks.
Nah! No contest! My Audi is auto (tiptronic) and laden with namby pamby toys - great for relaxing driving - But all modern cars send me to sleep anyway.
Your rear wheel drive is a better driver's car (allegedly) but I know that I've bought the right car for discrete luxury motoring (even if I cannot spell that!).
Regards, & a Happy New Year, John.

Of course, it's all about toys for boys - Oops, sexism creeping in there, what I mean is for those drivers who enjoy their vehicles, enjoy it whilst you can - restrictions / laws /fuels / insurance / road conditions are all trying to reduce the enjoyment.
I have enjoyed my driving since 1969 and although my reactions / perceptions may have changed a little I shall continue to enjoy my recreational driving (not back and fore to work) until they screw the lid down.
Regards, John.
p.s. keep it sideways.

I have also seen the article and adverts in old P6News for P6 Handling Kits! Despite everything control even on a V8 is not great and is a weakness in an otherwise solid car.
James Taylor's book refers to racing Rovers using E-Type Jag rear suspension mods and bits from McLaren and Lola race cars. There was even an experimental gas adjustable suspension system!

Not much chance of recreating that but has anyone else heard of Nigel Yorkstone (article referred to him working out of the Bruntingsthorpe Proving Ground near Leicester or where this kit can be obtained.
