Probably should have started this before I started pulling it apart but here goes.
Bought it running and driving. engine seams good with good oil pressure and no nasty rattles.
Was planning on it been a quick couple bits of welding, change a couple of doors bit of paint and back on the road but you know how it goes when you start removing wings.20190824_144557 by Stuart gaylor, on Flickr

So as you can see we've found a few more crusty bits than expected but then it is nearly as old as me so guess its to be expected

have also found some rust in the gutter rails and the front pillars
Guess that accounts for the floor being wet then
So out with the screens and headlining removed carefully and roof panel off

Luckily about 5 years ago I broke a p6 up and being the hoarder I am as I knew it would come in handy one day and the gutters aren't to bad

Shame I didn't cut the pillars lower though but should be easy enough to fabricate some repair panels

great project stue, how would you rate the seating?
About 6 out of 10 lol
Most of its ok and should come back to life but the passenger seatbase is split in a couple of places.
Its boxpleat and I did have a base somewhere but do you think I can find it...…….

is this a one person project or have you got anyone to help you? looks major to me

would be interested in if you saw it on e-bay/ gumtree etc , what kind of radio is that sticking out?

Only me doing the project so may take a little time.
Actually bought it off and older chap who lives near me.
Noticed he'd stopped using it so a knock on the door and after a bit of negotiation we had a deal.
The stereos just some flip front thing which I shall probably change when the time comes for something a bit more appropriate.

It all looks rather familiar to some of us :(, however probably not as bad as many I've seen or even taken on myself :D

I've seen worse too. The 2000tc in my profile pic had so many bad repairs that I gave up at the time as I didn't have the resources to do the welding which I do now.
Did try to buy it back as still sat in my mates garage from 5 years ago

No more photos to add as been such a faff to do it when there on my phone but plenty of progress has been made.
