Hi all.
Just to let you know that the scrap green Nada has now been sold to a local guy restoring his P6.
He is gonna cut it up for the non rusty base-unit sections he needs for his.
He will no doubt list any parts he does not need on the forum,FB or E-bay.
My white, now retired ex daily driver, has gone to a guy in Bristol to have the rear brakes and another small issue sorted out, so I will be able to take it to a few shows this year and sit behind it.:p
I am going to attempt to have a bit of a clearout of unwanted P6 items.
New daily driver Jag XK8 is going to get a new set of tyres and will get a nice V8 rumble,:) with a change to some sports rear exhaust sections.
Me...
I have a recurrence of the bowel cancer in my rectal stump.:(
An operation is not the solution,as the cancer is in other places anyway and it would affect post op healing and chemo makes me really ill.
I am awaiting a 2wk session of radiotherapy that will hopefully fix the problem its giving me of visiting the loo every 2hrs,,24/7,which means I dont get a full nights sleep and am therefore knackered most of the time.
This will give me some quality of life back, hopefully a decent nights sleep at last, and may allow me to visit my mum in NZ.
Although the large hernia around my stoma is V painful and non operable so my mobility is limited somewhat, support belts and pain killers make it tolerable,,,,just!!
Right now the pain killers are working, its time for a quick tidy in the garage so I can put the Jag to bed.

Cheers.:)

Sorry to hear you're having such a rough time of it health wise Dave. Hopefully you'll be able to visit your Mum soon.
Best wishes,
Steven

Likewise, I'm also sorry to hear you're having such problems with your health - only this afternoon I was wondering to myself how you were, I hoped it was better than that. Hopefully things will improve and you can get yourself over to NZ. Might see you at a show over the summer!

Truly horrible situation you find yourself in, Pilkie.
I hope the radiotherapy will be soon and brings alleviation, then maybe you can get out to NZ.
Very best wishes - John

Keep going and make sure you get what you need. Really sorry it's not better news and wish i could do something to help. If there's anything you need i think you know any of us would do what we can. Just let us know.

Rich.

Sorry to hear that, Dave. It sounds like you are positive, though and that is a major factor in any healing, so
keep the sunny side up and you will be hale and hearty in short order and off to the Land of the Long White Cloud
to visit with your Mum soon.
Thinking of you!
John

I seem to be visiting the loo every two hours these days. Just thought it was old age, and happened to us all :D

Sorry to hear your problems aren't abating . Trust you are as comfortable as they can get you . If you can get on the plane to NZ , Im happy to get you to Waipu from the airport in my Rover.

Cheers all.
Got my radiotherapy treatment schedule now and it takes up most of April.
My P6V8 has been repaired, and am enjoying using it again.
Hope to attend a few car shows, health allowing.
Also hope a NZ trip can be undertaken this year some time.
Thanks GRTV8,"Gerald":), will have to see how things go with my treatment.
Dave.
