Project...... 'PHAT' Rover!

Well here is 'Phat Rover' escaped at last from its tomb!....been so long, I imagined it would be it's final resting place!
My lad has taken it away to do the body...I thought I had got it something like.....but what do I know......I was going to 'wrap' it.....so here are pics before its shiny application!!
What colour I hear you shout!......well I changed the colour in my head so many times......practically every week as I saw to-days new car colours pass me by.
So it's a waiting game again!!

How about a vinyl wrap in chrome. Saw a car the other day done, super cool.

Not my sort of thing really, but this thread has been great to read & the modifications have been so well executed that I think it actually looks 'right'

A little bit of Gattaca going on with those looks ( just re-watched Gattaca last night).

I did think what would look really cool on a S1 P6 is a "hidden light" grille like the dodge charger. It'd have to be a perfect continuation made by chopping another original item and look absolutely "factory"

Very nice indeed

Are you leaving the handles off? My old de-cluttered car didn't have any, but I set them back into the door in a piece of pipe, and cut a slot in the front of the rear door, so I could get my hand in to pull the front door open. The other doors could only be opened from the inside.

Only pic I have is a bit blurry :(

That's what I looked like with hair :) No the chap in the back is my old black lab.

Excellent idea, PeterZRH. Don't know why I've never thought of that. Now I'm going to have to, at the very least, Photoshop a visual together...
Sorry for going off topic there, Northern Soul! Great to see your wicked whip out in the daylight. Looking forward to seeing it wrapped. Thinking about doing the same myself, to hide the places where my paintwork is bubbling up already until I can afford to get it repainted properly.

Hmm... bit much?

I would think the old aluminium grill would look better, perhaps with the uprights painted matt black so you can just see the horizontal lines.

That was my original idea as on page one on here, on my list of things to do....and I bought 6 grills to do it, was painting matt black with black 'flyeyes' on headlamps

but somewhere along the line......
all grills now given to another p6 owner

I used a pic of the ''The Rovering Members'' car to try get an idea
