Recommend clutch for a 4.6 Engine

I will soon install a strong 4.6 liter in my p6 with R380 5 speed gearbox.
I have the 5 speed box already installed for some years with a normal sd1 clutch. I'm not satisfied with the clutch, it does not feel good, especially when approaching. Now I want a better clutch for the 4.6. Can you recommend clutches?
Thanx and Best Regards

Hi, The LR V8s use a 10" clutch as opposed to the 9.5", so you will have to use the LR flywheel (heavier) or redrill the car one. There may still be clearance issues in the car bell housing, One of the reasons the LR one is deeper and larger overall.

I found this on the internet some years ago but the article ended with "...I have not confirmed it with a vehicle running on the road yet" so bear that in mind. I haven't tried it either but it could be worth doing some more searching?

Land Rover 200Tdi 2.5litre diesel clutch STC8358.
The cover plate is 9½" and fits the SD1 bolt pattern but has fewer but thicker spring fingers so may be heavier at the pedal.
The driven plate fits a 23 spline 1" diameter gearbox shaft (same as LT77) and has an extra set of small springs to stop the plate rattling, common on diesels.
You'll also need all the Land Rover release parts - the bearing, arm, arm pivot, slipper pads and possibly clutch slave pushrod.
The release bearing has a bigger diameter hole so you need a sleeve to take up the gap.

I don't know if you've the same problem but I've a 4.6 and LT77 and sometimes had clutch slip until I realised the old 4 speed slave cylinder pushrod was slightly too long despite the slave being fitted with a spacer, fitting a thicker spacer cured it.
