Replacement for ac11 alternator

Hi, does anybody have any suggestions for a replacement for the original ac11 Lucas alternator for four cylinder cars? I think mine has just bitten the dust. Extra points if it has an integral regulator as I can get rid of the acr box too.

Thanks in advance,

Steven

If you can't, there is a Bosch equivalent that will also bolt on.
That was my understanding, not sure of model or part number though. I’ll. Try and find a little time to trace wiring tomorrow in case it’s on the loom and not the alternator. Seems odd that it would go after some mechanical work I carried out.

Great, thanks for that. As it happens I’ve found the problem. Poorly repaired damage in the loom. Would you believe wirenuts on the field wire?!? Hopefully one of the last of dodgy repairs on the car after five years of work on my part. All wires to the alternator actually. So new wires, crimped connectors for the alternator. Soldered and heat shrink on new wires and new wrapping to protect everything. Unsurprisingly the battery is getting a much better charge than it’s had before.

Glad you found the problem and posted the fact. Alternators can easily be damaged if not wired up properly.
