Reversing lights - BW 35

Hi All,

Got a 1971 P6B with BW35 transmission. It has been starting in neutral only for a while but recently the reversing lights have been on in all gear lever positions apart from neutral. Have just replaced and adjusted the inhibitor switch and it now starts in P and N but reversing light issue remains. Does this sound like the mechanism inside the transmission at fault? If so, are there any common faults I might be able to fix?

Thanks

Richard

I can't see that anything inside the box can cause it. I assume you know that the terminals for start inhibit and reverse functions are specific, and if you use the wrong pairing it can cause problems like this.

My guess is adjustment then.

PS Although the new switches are, on the whole, cr*p, so that could explain it as well.
