Rover p6 bonnet wanted just finished restoring my rover 2000 TC 1972,whilst driving to the MOT station the bonnet blew up - hence reason for replacement . I am in Nothamptonshire.

Depending where you are, you might be able to be fussy and specify a colour. Bonnets are not very sought after.
I have a scruffy one (in Almond) here on Anglesey that you'd be welcome to.

Nasty experience, BTW - especially at such a crucial time. :(

Choice of bonnets available at Lake View - from memory there's a white one, a red one and a blue one, all S2 style.

The pick of these is about to be sprayed sage green - the other two are available.

Would of helped to know where it was wouldnt it!
Ive got 2 places called Lake View near me,and I know its not them!! :|
The one mentioned is up north near Manchester!
If you let people know where you are in the UK then anyone close by that can assist can reply!

I went through my stash of bonnets today and found that they were not in very good condition, apart from the one I chose for my new car.

The others have various defects and wouldn't be suitable unless you are really desperate - if this is the case you are welcome.

Hi Thanks for your reply -what do you mean not really suitable.are there dents etc or is it a question of prepare and paint which would not be a problem. The one in the picture looks ok. Thank you.

Ouch! Same thing happened to me about three years ago, micklezzz. There's a thread about it somewhere. Mine was repaired by an amazing panelbeater from Brum - can't think why he was exiled to the Colonies. Talent like that you guys should keep a hold of.

The one in the photo has been stripped to bare aluminium and is for my new car.

I have a blue series 2 bonnet which is straight and dent-free but one of the adjustable pins on the front underside has seized. It is perfectly usable but wouldn't be suitable for something going into a concours show.

Hi That bonnet would be ideal,Where are you re collection and how much do you want for it?,I could possibly get a courier to collect if the distance is a problem. They are indeed very large panels. Could you inform of post code and tel number. Thank you.

Hi micklezzz, you can edit your profile to let people know whereabouts you are - just the town or city that sort of thing. You can message the guys you're talking to if you want to share telephone numbers etc from the messages bit on the forum. If you arent sure how to use just let me know and i'll do my best to help...
