If you look for a nice christmas gift for yourself... have a look:
Rover P6

You could either choose one of the predesigned shirts or create one by yourself.
For now there are the following designs available
  • Rover P6 Series I
... but there are more to come.
have a look the next days.

If you have any special wishes, i will see if i could create them.

BTW: If you use the coupon code: welcome-100221693 you get -15% on all designs from 4th-18th december 2017.

S2 p6 will be added in the next days.
You could also delete the badges if you like the car without them. Try the configurator.

Unfortunately some guy reported a copyright violation to spreadshirt because of the use of the engine-displacement-badges!
And "3500" and "2200TC" have been removed.

I am quite upset by this behavior!
I thought i could create some great looking shirts for those enthusiasts like me.
The one who did this also had the possibility to write me a PN or in this forum and i would have removed it if there is a claim.
As the shop is online since yesterdays evening, and only this forum and the german p6 forum have notice it exists.

Does anyone have a idea whom i could ask for a restricted permission to use the type badges.
I wont use the rover ship or anything like this.
Who is owner of ROVER now?

thanks
Simon

The other designs are still possible

Weird. I long time ago I wrote a thread on the font used by Rover (amazing coincidence considering history that it's exactly the same as used by Honda). I couldn't actually identify the font of the numbers. Maybe that's the issue, it's an original typeface. But then others make flags etc. with the Rover badge.

I think Tata owns Rover now, but who is telling you that you cannot use the badges? I am pretty sure that spreadshirt can't claim copyright to the badges.

Richard

I received a email today.
It says that a someone reported a copyright violation on the 3500 and 2200TC badge and i have to remove them.
I made them with Arial Font, stretched and lengthened.

If someone claims the rover badge, okay, but the badges?

I wrote a email to TATA today, let's see what happens

I will create a S2 design until tomorrow evening

Did the email come from the owner of the intellectual property?

I would ask for proof that they can claim copyright if I were you, but then I am bit bolshy sometimes

They won't tell me who claimed the copyright tue to a data violation if they would tell me it says.
It was not the owner of the badge design, for sure.

I think I have to argue with them.

I did not really create the badge by myself that's right. But the vector image of the badges was made by me.

I have to write them a email tomorrow.
But if they ban it I could not really do anything against it

Following is the section of spreadshirts' website regarding copyright ownership - you will note that you are agreeing to indemnify the company in the event that your design is a breach of copyright. I am not say that you are but, if there is a valid claim then they have done you a favour.

§ 11 Copyrights to Print Designs, Release from Liability

(1) If the Customer provides his/her own motif or otherwise influences the product (personalisation of text), the Customer assures Spreadshirt that the text and motif are not subject to any rights held by third parties. In such case the cost of any breaches of copyright, personal rights or rights to the use of a name will be borne solely by the Customer. The Customer also assures Spreadshirt that by personalising the product he is also not breaching any other rights held by third parties.

If you wanted to follow up on this I would suggest that you make an inquiry direct to the website's legal department:
Legal Information | Spreadshirt
Perhaps they can provide you with some insight into who made the claim and/or you can make your arguments to them.

Good luck finding some answers!

Thanks for your hint to this information.

For now all boot badges are removed,...
the Series I still looks great on a shirt, sweatshirt or jacket!

Series II to come (maybe today)
