Roverfest 2022

No idea. They were all built in the U.K. so there's a good chance not. Their survival rate is extremely high.
The bicycle collection was superb.

Hi, Well it's 1952 car and first registered 1980. Possibly been stashed somewhere and then dragged into the daylight in 1980, or not it's original number. Who knows. :hmm:

Nice P76.. always wanted one, but my garage isn't big enough.

Kinda regret selling my 1800s Rover bicycle, but I needed to downsize. Always nice to see the collection out.

I'll start going to events again, when the current leadership changes.

There's a lot of leaders to choose from, Chris. It's the association of Rover clubs.

Yes, the P76's are pretty nice l think. Funny how they weren't a bit more popular back in the day.

The RSR runs it, and the P6ROC has been excluded. So it really isn't representative of all Rover clubs.

The event is organised by the JRC (Joint Rover Clubs) and represents the clubs that signed up to that organisation , which does not include the P6ROC. Each club in the JRC helped finance and organise Roverfest . The JRC has no link with the Association of Rover Clubs Ltd.

Wow a P76 in Blighty. Had one back in the day. Rear screen fell out on a very hot day- only glued in. Would like to have touched the racer- I watched the factory one race in Melbourne in 73- . I felt proud to see it as I had just picked up my new one. A sad outcome ,but went well for a few laps. And that multi coloured one - well kinda like it.

That's Clive Annable's, all the panels are different colours. I think the bonnet is half a series one and half a series two, as is the front grill. ISTR the front bumper has an over-rider on one side and an under-rider on the other.

There are three P76's in the U.K. according to the owner of this one but one is about to be exported to New Zealand.

The Cranleigh Lions classic car show was on Sunday, the first time l've been for around fifteen years. We had a small stall in the autojumble/market & took the Oxford as transport & successful attention seeker. I freshened up my P6 roofrack over the last week or so & that looks very nice on the rear of the car (though it picked up a few scratches on the day which l'll touch in). I haven't got round to recolouring the new doorcards yet but l don't dislike the multi-hued appearance.
It's grown to be quite a large show with an arena & autojumble, a very warm & enjoyable day. We were next to the Brooklands Museum pitch who obviously bought along some very nice cars. The fabric-bodied Rover Weymann was a nice spot too. All in all, well worth going & we even sold our Lamborghini sign. Quality always sells. ;)

Next weekend we'll be at Quainton Railway Museum for the Cambridge/Oxford National Rally.
