I have just finished watching this terrific series. I wonder if John Simm enjoyed driving the 1971 White Rover 3500. I have read that a third series is predicted to happen. We might see some more Rovers :) Do any of the Rovers in the series belong to forum members?

Jason Statham? If so I've watched this (purely because a friend of mine worked on it and I like to watch her films to see if I can spot her work) but jeez, watching him is enough to give you splinters.

Yep, Jason Statham is pretty wooden ( as usual ) but it was Saffron Burrows who was the draw for me with this, as well as the film being a rattling good yarn and ( allegedly ) based on a true story; certainly the homicidal slum landlord in the movie was a real person who was known to party with John Lennon…

Ms. Burrows is also in Frost/Nixon with Frank Langella doing a slap-up job of playing Nixon… no P6s in that tho’

There’s also a P6 in the background of some episodes of the re-booted Battlestar Galactica. I guess they are seen as futuristic in some parts.

Cant say I ever noticed the P6's in that but I must say that reboot was fantastic, I watched the whole series and sequels and prequels a few times.
Whoever directed and envisioned it was inspired in his execution and breadth of view, a very underated SF flick series.

Graeme.
** EDIT** silly me there were no sequels on the series only a couple of prequels!

It was in an underground car park in Caprica, when Starbuck went back. I agree, a really great piece of story telling as a whole series.

Indeed an under ground car park on Caprica, I am rewatching the entire series of them and have just noticed it ( right now as I am typing this) in season 2 episode 18 at 20.36 minutes in.
I am really enjoying the rewatch, they certainly never got the credit they were due in making this series.

As an aside when I replied to your post re Caprica P6's that night I contacted the New Zealand state TV broadcaster by email suggesting that in lock down Battlestar Galactica in all its entirety including prequels etc would be a great circuit breaker in lock down for people to binge on. A week and a bit later suddenly they advertised that it was available to stream online from their on demand services, patting my self on the back for this and I have been working my way through them ever since and now I up to S02E18 20 minutes and 36 second in :p.

@gche Nice one on getting it available again. It’s a pain to find in the US

Another great series though maybe not everyone's cup of tea is Lexx TV series Lexx - Wikipedia.

I managed to find this on torrent download as a complete Lexx universe, probably hasn't stood the test of time as well as Galactica and it has no P6's

Real cult stuff spanning the end of last century and this ( production wise) 1996 - 2002.

Ooo, Farscape! And of course Firefly.

Have seen some of the Firefly stuff, Think I have seen one of the farscape series but was obviously not too excited by it, lot of good stuff out there that never seems to hit the global audiences as it should, instead things like Stranger Things hits top ratings which whilst its okay its merely chewing gum.

One recent series that I enjoyed so much I read the books after seeing the TV series was The Expanse, brilliantly written and then brilliantly portrayed by the actors in the TV series easily as good as or even better than Galactica.

One of the writers is George RR Martins assistant writer, shame that George RR Martin writes such crap, he can barley string together any coherent writing, one of the worst series of books I barley made it thru without putting a bullet through my brain.

Highly recommend you watch ( then read) The Expanse.
