Royal Gunpowder Mills Classic Car Day 15/07/12

After the disapointment of Uxbridge being cancled today, I had to get out to a show seeing as the sun was shining and I was planning to come to the Gunpowder Mills but didn't book as it clashed with Uxbridge. So this morning it was a phone call but no reply so jumped in the modernish and drove there to see if I could get in unbooked and also bring a few other classics with me, once there a nice friendly chat and hey presto added to the list of attendes. A few more phone calls to friends and family and we had ourselves a show to attend.... Pics for your pleasure follow.......

The last three cars left taken from height buttercup, florrie and bluenana hope you enjoyed the pics. It was an excellent show including convoy laps of the grounds with a little speed strip through the long walk a nice straight lane very enjoyable.... Now to convince Tony that the p6ers need to attend next year.
Oh nearly forgot to mention that less than a quater of the booked vehicles turned up. Suppose they expected it to be cancled but there was a lot of hard standing areas and well drained grass areas for the cars

Yes Chris the A55 was rather qute and intreaging, liked the idea of the headlights, when you open the bonnet it appears that the headlights are attached and then the suprise of seeing the headlights on stalks under the bonnet, makes you double take

Can't say I've ever seen one before....

I nearly bought one some years back. Didn't notice that headlight thing though. This is another place I still have to get around to visiting. Looks like that would have been a very good occasion to do so. Some very nice not run-of-the-mill cars in attendance.
