rusty hole

so had rear passenger side wing off to do a tiny repair..... thought i'd clean and waxoyl wheel arch and inside of wing before putting back together. found a nasty hole where the inner sill meets rear wheel arch.... picture attached..... is this fiendishly difficult to repair?

LOL, what I was trying to say was you will need to strip it back a fair bit to get at it, and you may find a lot more to fix when you do. From your picture, there seems to be some corrosion at the lower end of the inner wheel arch (directly in front of the wheel) as well. You could probably just weld a plate over it but it wouldn't last long. It does kind of depend on what you are trying to achieve though.

thanks.... i've now had the outer sill cover plate off and inspected along the length of the sill. the corrosion does seem to be localised to the last 4 inches of the curved part of the inner sill .... appeared solid behind that
