Giving something up because of an unexpected disability is hard.

Goodbye sleipnir or Rovey as pj called the car.

Having followed the work you did on this car, i can honestly understand you feelings.
However, you should keep in mind that materials can be replaced relatively easily. Humans on the other hand are irreplaceable.
So, here's to a future recovery so that you can enjoy another one! :)

Rich
From this moment on I am making you chief project director for the blue car.
I will be in touch shortly to discuss the next stage.

Cant have you idle now can we .................

PS I have a picture like that with me and a Mustang, only mine did not go on a trailer. The guy drove it 2 miles then filled the tank brim full .................... with diesel !!!!

Putting diesel in - that's impressive....!

Oh I was really impressed. He called me, denied doing it and muggins had to spend the rest of the day sorting it out.
He actually drove it until it conked out. I had to drain the tank and strip the whole fuel system on the side of the road.
It did drive away, well something did, job to tell through the smoke.

Sold a 3500S.. owner changed the oil, let it drain for a couple of hours, then refilled. Ran the engine, seized the engine, tried to blame me.

He told me exactly what he did, and how much he knew about Rover V8's.

Wasn't happy when I pointed out that you either don't let it drip for a few hours, or you prime the oil pump before running it.

I remember selling my old GT185 Suzuki. I still remember the feeling when the bloke rode it off down the road - and that was in 1977 :(

Still, I did sell it to help buy my first ever car, a 1968 Rover 2000TC :)

Blimey listen to y’all.
I think I’ll sell mine PDQ. Rover ownership ought to carry a health warning.

All the best for your recovery Rich.

Had our sad day when we sold our 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser last Friday and will regret doing that for a long time to come.
Bought it 30 June 18 with 92,000km sold it with 117,000km. Initially bought for a road trip last year with the intention of selling it afterwards (on the basis that it would be cheaper than renting a 4x4). Loved it so we kept it for an extra year and road trip Melbourne via central NSW and Qld to Cairns and then the tip of Cape York, home via the coast to Noosa and then inland, that roundtrip was 11,000km.
Apart from a nail in a tyre in Bamaga the only costs in 25,000km were standard servicing and fuel.
Undoubtedly the most competent vehicle I've had in 55 years of car ownership.
Would have been more rational to sell the P6B and keep the FJ!
