Has anyone fitted a series 1 V8 grill and badge to series 2 (retaining series 2 bonnet) and do top screws show ?
If I go this route I would delete bonnet badge.

In my opinion not worth the loads of work to get it looking anything near good enough!! Buy a series 1 if you like them better.

I had similar thoughts but changed my mind long before I saw this example:

Ouch,
I had not seen a full on front view !
Couple of images I found on forum looked quite neat.

Looks OK but I would look at it in a different light if the top strip was painted black to blend out the screws .
Looks like a mouth with orthodontic braces as it is.

Agreed,
Just looked again at the pics of members series 2 with series 1 grill (series 2 bonnet) and it looks really neat without yawning gap.
Have Pm'd him to ask how he did it.

Then I could fit a spare series 2 grill to it 8)

New old stock grill arrived today and trial fitted.
Much smaller gap than the red car above - I wonder if the bonnet on that car is shut properly ?
Will hopefully receive grill badge tomorrow and continue to play.

Hi Mark,

The other option is to fit a series 1 V8 bonnet, along with the series 1 grille. That, along with the aluminium eyebrow, will close the gap.

Hi Chris,
I am working on locating a series1 bonnet at the moment so I can look at all options.
