Sliding steel roof

I believe they are rare. I had one on my car when I bought it but had to changed it to a solid roof as it was rotton and leaked badly :(

The actual sliding section was fine, it was the tub it slid into that was knackered, all the corners had rotted where the drain holes were.

I have one in pieces in my garage, but it will need a whole lot of attention before it would be ready to re-fit. The tray was toast, but I couldn't bear to throw it out. One day I'll have the money to be able to have somebody make it right again...

That was exactly the same problem with mine and I too hoped to repair it one day when time and funds allowed but when I called my Dad to see where he was storing the roof and headlining (they were in his workshop) he told me he had chucked them out   It wasn't as if he didn't have the room to tuck them away in the corner
