throttle sticks

Hello

If the temperature is below zero my throttle refuse to come back .
Only if i correct it with my feet the revs go down.
If the car runs for 5 minutes the heat increase in the engine and it comes back again. I have tried to lubricate the linkcages without result. I suspect some where inside the carburator (HIF, rover 3500S)
Does someone has this problem too and know how to solve this?

Could it be carb icing or something?

Does it happen straight away on a cold morning or only after running for a few minutes? If after a few minutes then it could be icing.

When it happens try disconnecting the throttle linkage at the carb end - if the pedal still sticks, then its your throttle linkages back to the pedal that need checking out. If not, then try opening/closing the carbs by hand and seeing if they are sticking. If they do, then you need to investigate if its one of them causing it or both.

It happens straight away. Its a good idea what you say. As soon the temparatur will be again below zero i will do that.

Thanks!!
