I also have one, it is straight type and sitting in my garage loft.
You can are welcome to it, I am over in the west if you are struggling.
Thank you for the offer. I would hate for you to disassemble your car just for me. There appear to be a couple lying around so i will go for those first but thank you.You can have the one off mine if you want it. I have no use for it and can take it off, I'll just need to get some of those rubber bungs to fill the holes! PM me and make an offer! Same year, same model!!
I have one but won't be able to dig it out until Sunday.
It's worth knowing that they come in different types.
The bar which runs below the bumper can be straight or curved. Straight ones make fitting overriders difficult. If your car doesn't have overriders, that's not a problem.
Then the brace which runs under the boot floor has a couple of variations. One type is bolted through the jacking point (the rectangular thing in the centre) which needs drilling for fitment. The other type uses two parallel braces that run either sider of the jacking point.
Hi Arthuy,
Thanks for the offer, i would like to take you up on it, i am off this week and free towards the end .
Jolly good - I have a straight one with the bracing members that run either side of the jacking point. I had it stripped and galvanised a couple of years ago so shouldn't ever rust. You will need to buy the bolts that go through the boot floor to fit it
How does £30 plus postage sound? I'd hope to be able to send it by courier (in the UK) for around a tenner.
PM me your email address if you'd like to see a photo.
There's a tow ball fitted but that isn't galvanised.
Anyone have any advice on the wiring?
