Triumphant 2000 Mk2 prototype?

Now Triumph's are not really my thing, and I am no expert at all, but would a 1967 Mk2 prototype really have full production spec Mk2 seats, dash, steering wheel, body shell.....etc?.

....................buyer drove away happy. Car returned on a recovery truck 2 hours later, buyer stated car started to splutter when he put fuel in and then it refused to start so he bought it back for a refund.............!!
 
Everything looks like a Mk2 with the possible exception of the gearknob and maybe the carbs. What the hell is he on about?......

If I were dyslexic I'd say that reg number was pretty appropriate.
