Tyre advice please!

No it doesnt, radios were not offered here from Rover as far as I am aware so they were a dealer fit option and the standard antenna that the UK got never was available here possibly due to NZ content rules of the day.

Yes the fitment is Mickey Mouse but I have never got around to retrofitting a better option.

I didn't mill my Vitesse wheels, just bolted them on, ET is still 40 :). I did have to modify the inner O/S wheel arch as they did touch when cornering fairly hard, but then so did the Minilites.

I chose the 205/65 R15s as they were as close as I could get to the original rolling radius.

Here's an interesting tyre for a standard rim. You don't see many 75 profiles listed in Europe and it has the correct "H" rating. Best of all I've seen it down to the equivalent of £40:

Unfortunately can't see a 195/75 R14 which would be perfect.

Hankook is not a top tier brand but they're up there with "best of the rest". Interesting it's listed as "Chevy" implying its imported for American cars primarily. It's also a silica tyre.

Current tyres (bought over the past two years to replace 10 yo but very meaty Michelins) are 185/75 89H Bridgestone B249.
A very smooth general tyre which certainly lightened the manual steering. Readily available in OZ, not sure about EU and UK
