Under bonnet label - early 2000

Looking at a nice '65 2000 on ebay made me think of the loss of my car's under bonnet spec. label:

You cam see it here on the driver's side, which is where mine was. As it was almost illegible, I didn't save it when I did the inner wing repairs etc, but would like another.

Would someone be good enough please to take a 'head on' picture of theirs & I'll get it printed on a suitable sticker? It will have to be off a pre '66 2000 I think. I could get several made if anyone else is interested.

Looks like mine might still be in place. Long over due a visit to ARG as been tucked up for last few years. Will try to get picture this weekend

I've taken several pictures of good labels, and have asked someone to try and get a run done of these.. I'll chase him again.

you can buy them from J R Wadhams ltd, UK

just scroll down the page..
be careful, may be copyright material, if you copy and sell on, Wadhams is the best bet for quality, in my opinion...
bought one for my car, superb printing and looks a million dollars in the engine bay......penny wise, pound foolish..

I’ve seen these & would have no issues with going straight to a supplier (I often point out their merits on this forum).

However, the problem is that the only ‘2000’ label is for a later car (battery in the boot) or a BL one & I’m being nerdy wanting the proper one ;)

My neighbour who is a graphic designer did the artwork for a custom 4.6 label for me, I then emailed the file to a friendly local decal guy who made up the label for me.

Not the early ones, you can't. They have generic 2000 stickers, but not ones for A and B suffix cars.

Got a mate to grab a pic when he was at shed. Not the best but it might clean up a bit more if required.

Thank you for that Tam.

It’s probably going to be hard to clean up. My car had a poor one which I attempted to clean & I removed some of the details .

I might be able to get a later one combined with your picture on ‘photoshop’ to make a half-decent one.

Am I ok to use your picture?

Thanks again,

Phil.

Aye definitely if it's any good. I can take more if needs be and get you original. You can zoom into most of it. Not that I noticed any difference from a later one?

It's been a while, but I've just come across this picture I took of my under bonnet label:

Obviously much worse than yours, Tam

I might get a later series 1 2000 label (if there is such a thing), scan it & photo-shop the differences as best I can, then get a new one printed.

I'll have to do some research :)

I've got several pictures of half decent ones; enough to make a decent picture.

I keep meaning to get a few printed off, but just never seem to find the time.

I would be very interested Chris when you are able. There's obviously no panic - I'm only into my 16th year of restoring the car, so just getting started! :D
