V8 water pump replacement

Hi all, I've just posted in the Welcome section to try and introduce myself and the car.

I'm in the process of changing the waterpump as the exisitng one has a large leak and am wondering what is recommended to provide anti seize and seal the 4 long water pump bolts? The workshop manual says to use 3M-EC776 which seems to be an aeronautical grade product with a price to match and also a large quantity when only required on 4 bolts?

It looks like my dad has used a lot of Copaslip on the existing bolts when the pump was installed back in 1992, which did come out with no fuss, however it was old stuff with a high copper content, my new stuff seems nothing like as good, just wondering if there is something better to use?

Suggestions - get a 5/16 UNC thread chaser - NOT a tap! - and clean all the threads you can - those for the 4 long bolts might be difficult. Get new bolts - not stainless. I use one of the non-hardening gasket sealers on that area - Loctite No 3 Aviation sealer works well. There are sealer/lubricate goos for bolts that go into water galleries, dont recall a brand. Permatex products have worked well for me.
