vip up for sale again

It' not to my taste but this car should be driven and enjoyed. A few tweaks to make it look less of a bitsa and it would be much nicer.

For me I'd make it more like an S2, the colour is nice for that. Black sills, sail panel and wheel trims. Oh yes, the steering wheel should go.

When it's been restored as it has, is it still a VIP? The VIP was what it was primarily because of the cosmetic changes, if you change those , is it really a VIP?

As above, if made more similar to a Series 2, I think the colour suits it, although who fitted the boot badges like that! The interior looks to have been well done (steering wheel not really my taste) bit agsin, not really VIP. Having said that, it looks like it could be a good car.

The VIP bit is now utterly meaningless. Still nice to have an AC car. Me? I'd spend £10k on a very good original car and use the £15k for something else.

Yes, it's still a VIP as it's the chassis number that denotes a VIP.

Same as someone taking a 2000SC and dropping a V8 into it.. makes it a 2000 with a V8 fitted, rather than a V8.

However, it's been personalised to the extreme.. and unless someone were to fix the badges and handle on the bootlid, I wouldn't go near it.
