wanted PB6 radiator overflow tank

Not sure they were standard issue. Might have been on the last ones. I used a nice metal one off an early LR Disco V8. Still a rover

I think they do come up but rare. did think of adding one myself but decided to flush rad and engine and go over to water less coolant .so far so good .

Not at all rare, they were fitted on everything from a Morris Marina, to an MGB to the Discovery. You can even buy them new for about £80.

Thats the one.

My loss of coolant issues disappeared when I fitted the header/expansion tank

"N'overheat" or something like that, an aftermarket kit with plastic bottle, brackets hose and, importantly, new radiator cap. Have had mine for more than 20 years, bought from Repco though today I'd probably ask Bursons, Autobarn or Supercheap.
The advantage of plastic is that you can see it is working by checking level hot and cold.
Be surprised if it costs more than $20, I was wrong $24 and it looks pretty much like mine

But this one does not have the new pressure cap

I would imagine as standard it wouldn't ship with a 15lb cap. The V8 runs are twice the pressure of most old cars. Mind you this really only sets the boiling point so as long as it doesn't get hotter than about 110C you are OK.
