Wanted V8 diff spider gear that takes input shaft

Anyone have a V8 or possibly a 2200TC diff spider gear laying about, the one that takes the input shaft ?

I need to borrow one as I am investigating getting stronger diff output shafts made.

I investigated this a few months ago over here in Melbourne, especially as I've a planned 400hp motor going in.

The engineering firms I spoke to suggested that although they could remanufacture them out of better material, using better techniques, this would only be a partial cure as the actual spline design if the output and input shafts are fundamentally flawed for big horse power applications.

now back at looking at Jag Diffs. I do, however, follow this with interest.

The last type of output shaft (from F series diffs) is significantly better than the early ones the spline design was much improved.

Mark,
there are three types of diff centre with different numbers of bolts holding the ring gear on. so they are not interchangable. Read the manual to identify yours. page 51.25.19

I have a spare Diff in the garage from a '73 3500. If you don't find what you're after closer to home I could have a go at dismantling it and send it over from Berlin. On loan.
I'd be interested in toughened shafts, and perhaps an LSD, if it were reasonably affordable.
I once lunched a Diff laying rubber out of a Brixton side street. Stripped most of the teeth off. Road wheel moved from 1-o-clock to 11-o-clock without the prop turning! Lead footed youngster with a newly installed Holley 390/Edelbrock Performer set-up.
I would like to be able to leave two stripes of burning rubber in my wake, not just drivers side.... Now and then mind, not every traffic light!
(Note to self: grow up and behave!)

Thanks for the info. Do you have a pic of the F series splines please ?

Thank you for the offer. At the moment I am now trying to get an estimate on the shafts without mailing parts. If the cost is reasonable I may then have to mail parts for a proper evaluation as the company wont commit without seeing the ins and outs.
I am not investigating an LSD at this time, it is something that would be useful maybe on track but may possibly be of limited benefit on the road ?
I give my car the full beans at the moment but only when rolling. I would like the piece of mind of a tyre lighting start without breaking anything though and as diff shafts have been a hot topic for so long it would be nice to get something done about it.

It is possible to leave two even black stripes on the road with an open diff during a straight line launch, my Cobra replica can do it, it all depends on how you set up the rear end, that car has a four linked live axle and very stiff damping.

OK so first company I tried has come back with a price of 150 - 200 quid per shaft price, but with loads of ifs an maybe's, oh and the killer additional comment of 'minimum order of 30 sets' !!!
Why oh why they did not say that to begin with and avoid all the time wasting is beyond me. Thanks Quaife.
Onwards..........
