What a mark-up! 2200SC

How the feck would he know? I'd be more than a bit surprised if he had ever come even close to driving a brand new one, which is what he's implying.

The price it sold for on eBay was quite a bargain by the looks of it... The price it is now being sold for is quite on the steep side

I think it is good that P6 values are on the rise (even though I hope to nab a bargain still!) but vendors need to try and maintain a realistic approach rather than just reaching for the stars immediately!!!

Would he have treated the seats, sorted the bubbling paint on the bonnet or touched up the rocker cover? I'd want it properly mint for that price.

It's interesting that in the original advert the MOTs appear to go back to the 1980s when the mileage seems to be about 6,000. Bearing in mind that the car would be over 10 years old I would need proof that the mileage was not actually over a 100,000. The seats didn't appear mint in the photos.
It looked a nice car and I would have thought the original price was about right. The new price I would have thought was ridiculous but good luck to him if he gets it!

This has to be one the best P6 Rovers left

(Unsaid bit.) "Though obviously I have no idea if this is true."

A £5 1/2K mark-up after two days of ownership? He probably hasn't even washed it or hoovered the carpets in that time.

That's one of the the beauties of the internet. Everyone with an interest can see prices paid verses prices asked.

I would rather have the nice tax free 2000tc for less http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C479817
At £7K i am wanting a nice respray, a perfect baseunit and an engine and brake overhaul
Someone got a nice car for less than £2k, it had gotta be worth £3K.
I would want to be checking those inner rear wheel arches and inner sill walls :D

This is interesting, as I reckon the original selling price truly reflects the current P6 market

There are people out there looking for a p6 (4 pot - I am not talking about V8s) and willing to spend £6K or more for something special - whether that is a 2200sc from 1975 is another matter!

Think it also it depends where you are. Sold my last car (wedgie) for the full asking price and within a week.
