I've done several insurance valuations, both as part of Federal Rovers and when I was a member of the P6 Club.

An insurance valuation is always different to what you'll get in the real world. A car that might not sell at £4k this week, might sell for £8k the next.

That said, look at what cars are going for on ebay. The auction houses aren't a great source at the moment, as many are online, but if you wanted to hand it over, there are some great classic car auctions, such as Mathewsons in Yorkshire - who have their own tv show!

Without seeing a dozen more pictures, and hopefully not offending, you could be looking at around £6k. That's reasonable for a V8 auto. The value would certainly go up if the paintwork was as good as it appears in the pictures, and with seeing the interior and engine bay. Mileage helps, but so does running condition. People will also look for the MoT history online, and although they're MoT exempt, having a current MoT will push the value up.
