Hi

Anyone got 20 of these, happy with used ones as new cost £110!!

Dont want to mess about changing studs if I can help it.

He sorted me out OK.

My wheels are SD1 Vitesse, and he supplied:-
"In that case they will be #5001, 7/16" x 20 unf, dome top medium (length) mag sleeve nuts @ £2.00 each (inc washer) plus P & P. See website for full details & dimensions"

Be aware that on the web site, when he lists "steel" nuts and "alloy" nuts, he is referring to the wheel, not the nuts!

Jim.

I wish I knew about this chap when I fitted mine, I had all sorts of problems :(

Richard

I just waltzed into Supercheap Auto yesterday and bought 7/16 mag nuts off the rack. Fitted perfectly.

Are they chrome and what length are they Warren ? What was the damage ? Did you leave any in the shop for the rest of us !!

Yes, chrome. Forget the length, but it was just right for the Series 1 mags with the washer applied. $21 per wheel, so about $4 per lug. I don't know how that stacks up but it seemed OK to me, and they were there. Saved me a lot of frigging about.

They've got 7/16 x 15 stamped on the side, Gerald. Coming from Supercheap they're probably only passable quality, but they look the part and they'll do, at least for now.

I got some from Repco years ago and the chrome started to flake off when the wheel brace bit into them , so was looking to replace those mankie ones .
Probably from the same chinese back street factory that SuperCheap use . At that price I'll give a few a go as see what "appens .

Here's a bargain for the Kiwi Xmas shopper into auto shops , instead of watching birds at the beach .
Ive just picked up some 7/16 x 35mm chrome stud nuts from Supercheap auto . 5 in a pack. nz$22 less disc of 25% . The store I was in had nuts for steel and alloy wheels .
They look very smart . You will need 4 x packs -LOL
Actually , truth be told , I just wanted to show off my Rozzies .
Thanks to Warren for the headz"up

Warren I purchased mine from super cheap also and have found 2 things 1. Mine have shown signs of rust ringing 2. They required 2 washers to properly tighten to the mag.

Good stuff, Gerald. Graeme, I'm quite certain that mine will suffer the same fate, but I was in a hurry and they were all I could find. If they last a handful of years I'll be happy, and I can take my time to source some better quality ones.

I drag this old thread out again since i have purchased the wheelnuts described here to use with the vitesse wheels and using the original p6 studs. The threads are fine, but i think the nuts are a bit thin, so there is more space between the wheel hole and the nut than expected (appr 2 mm). Has anyone experienced any problems using these nuts?
Regards, Barten
