Where's Dave Herns?

For real? Actually wanting to leave? Wow! That's not nice at all.

as long as you arent causing almond owners to feel 'under fire' permanently there is no objection to anybody discussing almond :) The problem was that people were saying they were leaving the forum because they (more than one) felt people were insulting their pride and joy. Just a question of thinking of how your comments make others feel, even (especially?) if it's in jest.

</serious>

Wow , your joking  even a guy at a show telling me " that's a nice car love , what's it gusset yellow ? " only made me laugh . Like i said before as long as the personal comments are kept out it's o.k :D

Hi, that's right. If you look at bullying and harassment policies it is not about whether they
are being bullied, but about whether the person FEELS bullied.

My car's ALMOND? ALMOND! Wait till I get hold of the $astard who sold me it, he said it was Belgian Racing Yellow. I'd never drive an Almond car, I'm way to cool for that. Next you'll be telling me it's only a V8, not the V12 the bloke told me it was.
(please note the picture below, take it up with Big Chris, not me, has anyone told him? He'll not be happy.)

John.

Well, seeing as I started the thread, I suppose I'd better reply. Personally I'd rather Dave didn't worry about what other people say and get back posting. He seemed to post pretty much every day. I'd be happy to see him back on here, which is why I started the thread in the first place.

At Event City last year there was a chap with an almond P6, not on our stand btw, who insisted that his car was Harvest Gold  . But he also told me that he had the wrong shocks on the rear and that was why is was sitting too high.

You gotta larf

Richard

It's a fashion thing Richard, MY Harvest Gold one (cough) also sits high at the stern, but that's due to having heavy duty springs and Spax coilover adjustables set to stun, trend setters us Harvest Gold guys  As Smokey Yunick set his cars, tail up, nose down like a Southern running dog.

Dave Herns: What colour is your car?

I have an idea, from the dark recesses of my memory, that it's Lunar Grey.

I could be wrong, I often am, very rarely admit to it though 8)

Its a shame if someone leaves the site. We have lost a few good ones lately. I ve found the site quite friendly and i think it adds to the joy of owning a p6 . I know myself if it was nt for the folks on here my p6 would nt be on the road. I knew nothing about cars let alone p6 s untill i joined here. rosie and i have now had 5 great years of fun. When i start to loss my way i come on here read the members projects or search the topics for help. Or start a topic and someone always comes to my aid. As for almond its a great colour like all our rovers there all great . Even the rusty ones are great to see . So Dave you got to stay we need to all stick at it. We need to help each other as we age and our cars do to.
Hope you stay and enjoy your car. i just wish i could make more of the shows in fact any would be fun.
Marcus
