White 2000 convertible

As far as I know only 1 car was made
for rover as a possible new model .
It's still about and it's front doors are approx 6/8 inches longer .
I have seen it at some of the shows,
I think it's in one of James Taylor's rover books and pretty sure he once owned it.

I know of the car, the owner is a member of my local club. I haven't seen it, but if his Volvos are anything to go by, the work that's been done will be of a very high standard.

The real car is a series 1 and looks more in proportion due to the extended front doors .
Although a finished car at time of press launch its interior rear fittings were a bit Orange box , had it had gone into production would have had the rover quality .
Its a mirical it still survives as most cut/modified cars fell apart with rust due to them being made for show only.

As it says in the advert, a local dealer had a few converted a long time ago. They're well known cars, however, they didn't have the doors lengthened as per the FLM Panelcraft car that Rover had converted.

The Panelcraft car has been restored several times, which is why it's still around, including work by the current owner.

I enquired about this car on behalf of the owner some time ago and it didn't produce much response about its history prior to the eBay sale. I've since spoken to several ex-Mann Egerton employees locally and nobody has any recollection. The registration number was issued in West Sussex, not Suffolk. Any information you have would be appreciated.
